"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them..." -- Genesis

Strictly speaking, this is the version 2.0 of my blog. I started using pelican via GitHub pages around a year before, however, it faded away soon, because I was lazy and not aware of its advantages. Now, I prepared to maintain this blog and become a true member of GitHub community. Let's roll!

The major reason I choose pelican is I'm fond of the elegant theme. For me, she's even more gorgeous than Next of Hexo. Unfortunaely, I encountered a critical problem that the Disqus thread could not work properly (when I clicked the comments, nothing happened, at localhost, it's not responsive) while other themes goes smoothly. As a baby of coding, I try to read javascript source code, which I know nothing about, and guess there might be something wrong with comments.html and disqus_scripts.html. In addition to that, I emailed the author of elegant, and other two bloggers, though nobody replied me. I'm not complaining here, I just want to express how hard I tried to fix this issue. I slept just a few hours in 3 or 4 consecutive days with a little food just to make it right. At last, I decided to register an independent domain to see what happens. If it wouldn't work, then I apply other themes or Hexo for I could not afford the time cost any more. Thanks to Github and NameCheap, I have one year free domain from student developer pack, which made this chance possible. It's amazing that my blog at woodspeak.me is compatible with Disqus! Ecstasy, just ecstasy. I learned never give up as a man. But I still wonder why, is the difference between http and https?

The site name Woods Peak, it's a little hill in my campus. Around sophomore, I found that the Mandarin pronunciation of this hill is similar to Woods (Wu-Tzu, literally 5ers, just like the 76ers) for Woods Hole, the Mecca of physical oceanography. Hence, I named it Woods Peak for auspiciousness.
